Gross Arnold: Birds and Angels
Gross Arnold and his Fairyland

The first time I heard of Gross Arnold was when I received two of his etchings as a wedding gift from my landlady, Fehér Ilonka néni in 1965.  By that time, he was a famous graphic artist with a Munkácsy Prize. On his 90th birthday, December 6th, 2019, his biggest exhibit opened in Budapest.  I wish I could be there to enjoy the beauty of his works.

Still, the small village of Hövej comes to my mind often.
